It's been more than a year that I've been with migme and I've already enjoyed some pretty nice perks~ Aside from meeting new people and friends (thanks to the BA and partner program) and getting virtual gifts from friends/fans around the world, I even get to experience ~first hand~ migme's partnerships, like this one with Zomato. :D 

• I have finished 2 books already (and currently reading 2). I've learned to appreciate reading novels, especially inspiring ones :) so I'm looking forward to reading more books.
• I was able to meet up with my childhood bestfriend, Patty, who came back and visited the Philippines.. and although I do not consider this next one as a "highlight" I'll include it anyway... I was able to enter a club for the first time with my friends. LOL. I can't really say that it was a 10/10 experience, but somehow I had fun since I was with my closest friends. I really don't feel like going back there though...but it was a new experience, so yeay. 
• I have more exercise now since I've started to form a Tuesday&Thursday jogging routine (and I really am planning to visit some gyms since there's one near our house!) 
• I went to the One Ok Rock concert (VIP 1 yeah~!) I was able to see their glorious faces and physique. 
• I was finally able to get my stuff back (those that I unfortunately left with the people from my past...) 
• I was able to go back to cosplaying casually at conventions!! :) (as Rory Mercury) and was even given the opportunity to become one of the judges for the cosplay competition for Otaku Expo :) It was great :)  
• I was able to meet up with my bestfriends (from Jalarcan) like Mhychan and Sanzy (who I've never met before, but we've been friends for like a decade!!) :) (I even had a follow up date with Mhychan)
• I was able to travel out of town with some of my closest friends (who I happen to be spending a lot of time with lately!) 
• I became more and more faithful to God. I know this sounds a little cheesy, but I really feel like I was able to draw strength from Him, and I am very thankful.

One day there was a man who heard that there was a very huge and precious gem under the depths of a certain patch of land. He was very eager to have it believing that that was what his heart, body, and soul wanted. He prepared himself and worked hard to get it. Throughout the days he would dig and dig and dig... It was very tough and challenging.. There are days when he wanted to quit because despite digging, all he could see was more dirt. He thought to himself.. "Is this worth it? Does it have to be this hard? I keep digging but I see nothing but dirt..." But he pushed through anyway. Despite all the difficulties, he kept on digging..because this is what he wanted. Many more days have passed and as he went deeper, small bits and fragments of gems would pop out making him believe that this was all worth it.. But he still hasn't reached his ultimate goal, the real gem he wanted..so he kept on digging.. It took him a very long time, and so much effort and determination to find that very precious gem. He didn't give up despite all the difficulties and so one fine day, he finally saw the precious gem. It was very huge and very heavy, but it was the most beautiful thing he had ever seen his entire life. He felt like all the hard work was worth it and he felt that everything he ever wanted in life was right there in front of him. He was happy and very contented and very proud of himself because he didn't give up and got what he wanted. "Finally, this gem is mine." He couldn't explain what he was feeling all he knows was that he was happy and contented. So he picked up the gem from the soil.. He realized that it was indeed very heavy, but it was beautiful and what he wanted.. So despite his arms not being strong enough to carry it, he still pushed through with carrying the precious but heavy gem. For him it was all worth it. Days went by and he was still holding the gem, he carried it with him wherever he went feeling very proud. "This is my achievement. I'm happy that I have what i've been wanting to have all my life". So he continued his daily life, but this time with the gem and its weight on his shoulders. The first few days, he was exuberant.. Just happy. Just proud. His hands were still healing from all the digging he did but he was still just very happy. After all, this is what he wanted. And with the gem on his side, he became a better man. He became wiser and richer and basically better than he was before. The gem was helping him improve. The rest of the days, he started to feel a little tired. "Carrying this precious but heavy gem is a little tiring, but this is what I want so I will hold on to it" he thought to himself. Days went by and suddenly he felt "When will this gem ever lessen its weight? It did help me but it's still heavy. Carrying it around is starting to become a hassle..." And with that one seed of thought, he finally started to despise the gem. It was precious,yes. It was what he wanted yes, but it also became a burden to him.. It was heavy. And because of it he couldn't do the things he would normally do without the weight on his shoulders... Eventually he realized that he didn't want the gem anymore. "I'm tired of carrying this" So he dropped the gem and left it. He enjoyed his life without the gem's weight on his shoulders. "Ahh, I feel free without that gem's heaviness". And indeed he was free. He could do all of the things he wanted to do. He spent the rest of his days enjoying that freedom. But one fine day, he felt empty. He questioned his feelings and eventually realized that he wants the gem after all. "I'm stupid for dropping that gem... I have to get it back!" So he went back to where he dropped the gem but he couldn't find it anymore.

"I'm sorry..." Was all he could say.. And he was full of regret. Then one fine day, he saw the gem being carried by another person. He didn't know what to say.. But he approached the person who was now holding this precious gem that was once his. "That's a beautiful gem you got there, but isn't it heavy?" he said.. The other man responded "Yes indeed. I was quite shocked to find this gem. It seems that it was left behind. I actually saw a portion of it on top of the dirt so I still had to dig to see the rest of it..then I found that it was huge and heavy. I was quite shocked. I initially asked myself if I could carry it with me but it was beautiful and certainly something I want.. So I did. I brought it with me. On certain days I would train myself so I could build a better body so I would be more capable of carrying it. Now I carry it with ease, so the weight is no problem. It is beautiful indeed. I wonder why its previous owner left it."

So since I've made a lengthy blog post about my experience with eXtreme Moments 3 here, I'll be sharing some of my favorite photos from the shoot! I truly am thankful to all the photographers who did a wonderful job. :) (And sorry to those I was not able to have a shoot with due to lack of energy ><;;). This really is one of the reasons why this hobby is so fun :) ~ I get to see everyone (both cosplayers and photographers) do their best to create wonderful outputs... and memories~! :)

(In my future blog posts, I'll be talking about Daydreams 1-3, the first cosplay shoot series that I joined. Since this blog was created just last week, I can only talk about these memories now. Hahaha. I kind of want to make this blog as a journal for wonderful life events, so I'll blog about those too if I don't get too lazy~!)

Note: I wish I could have taken pictures of the venue :'( to add to this post..but I was a little sleepy at that time, and I didn't even bring a camera with me. (*regret deepens*, next time, I promise!) 

Note #2: Again, I would like to apologize if my wig looks too pink in some of the photos. My wig was really pinkish red. I guess it looks more pink than red :( I was really trying my best to stick to Kotori's hair as much as possible and not just stick to a normal red wig.

Note #3: I am aware that her footwear is actually a pair of slippers + fiery socks, but I opted to wear heels inside the shoe cover so I'd look taller. The costume is long, so I just wanna try to balance everything out >< heheh!

Random: August used to be one of my favorite months, but now I really can't say that I still feel the same. Ahehe. ƪ(‾ε‾“)ʃ

Since I only created this blog last week, I only have this time (since I only felt like posting now) to post about recent life events. I started August this year with one amazing out of town cosplay shoot. (I am actually very delighted and grateful to be invited by the organizers of eXtreme Moments! :3) They invited me to eXtreme Moments 3, the third installment of the out of town cosplay shoot series. I was actually invited to join eXtreme Moments 2 last May (?), but due to some circumstances, I wasn't able to go. (⌣_⌣”).. Too bad because I was supposed to cosplay one of the characters I love, Nora, from Noragami! (´；д；`)

Well this time I made sure that I'd be attending. I thought of who to cosplay and made preparations as early as June. I decided to cosplay Kotori Itsuka's spirit form Efreet/Ifrit from Date a Live. This was actually suggested by "Yato" (the person I am currently dating). I was already familiar with Date a Live but prior to his suggestion, I haven't actually watched the series. XD When he suggested Kotori to me, I actually fell in love with her at first sight... so I thought, why not? I then made a conscious effort to watch the entire series to further familiarize myself with Kotori and the series itself. (I know how off it is for other cosplayers to cosplay a character you don't know..so I made an effort 'cause I also have that 'principle', just not as strict as some of the cosplay purists ehehe ^^;; ). I had an anime marathon and watched both seasons of Date A Live straight!!! I fell in love with it and almost all of its female characters, but I do hope that they can continue the series! The ending was too erghh for me. If given the chance and resources, I'd even want to cosplay almost all of the characters because they all have this unique charm to them <3.

Anyway! With that decided, I asked the help of Tita Irma Espinosa and Karen for my costume and Spark Creative Works for my weapon (Kotori's angel in halberd form: Camael). I ordered dark pink/red lenses but they didn't arrive on time :( So I only used the pink lenses I have in stock. I am blind without graded lenses, so I can only rely on pre-ordered ones. As for my wig, I initially bought a bright red wig.. but my cosplay wouldn't be that accurate if I wore that one. It was honestly very difficult to look for a wig that has the exact color as Kotori's (Kotori's hair is pinkish red-- not just merely red). Luckily someone was selling a pinkish red wig from the CNPH cosplay market, so I used that~ Unfortunately, when the photos came out, the wig looked more pink than red. :( But it's fine, I guess since I had no choice.

So back to the original event! eXtreme Moments 3 was held in Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar in Bagac, Bataan. It was a really lovely place, but a little isolated though! To me it was a perfect spot to relax and unwind if you want to stay away from the busy-ness and the noise of the city. What's more amazing is that it looks like a mini Vigan. It was a tourist spot, beach, and resort all in one place. I, along with other cosplayers and photographers rode a rented bus to the said area. I was lucky enough to make new friends in this event! (e.g. Angel [who was my seatmate in the bus], Mika, Kach, etc).

I really really loved this event because aside from cosplaying, I was able to travel and make new friends and meet new people from the community! :) I really hope I can continue joining these kinds of events. It really hits two birds with one stone. :)
